Most people think of outfield defense and golden gloves when the name Alex Gordon comes to mind.

It may come as a surprise to hear that in his second year in the MLB while playing with the Kansas City Royals in 2008, Gordon led all American League third basemen in errors, 16, as well as posting the lowest fielding percentage, .955.

Fast-forward to the end of the 2013 season when Gordon was awarded his third consecutive gold glove in left field and also earned his first all-star selection.

What a difference a few years can make.
