What’s up guys this is Jordan Romano and I’m currently playing and living in Dunedin, Florida for the Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto Blue Jays Organization).

Spring training has come and gone, it seems like you work and grind the whole offseason in anticipation of performing in spring training but it goes by like a blur.

With spring training comes a lot of early mornings and long days. Everyone is just hoping to be promoted from where they were last year. Unfortunately, even if you come in way stronger than the previous year, the club already has already made up their minds on where you are playing.

This year spring training was a bit different for me because I got to compete in the World Baseball Classic for team Italy. The whole WBC experience was a blast and everything was first class. After I finished up there I flew back to Florida and got back into Spring Training mode with the early mornings and long days.

The end of spring training is great for some people and not for others. Everyone wants to be promoted and keep moving up the ladder but there just isn’t enough room on the teams for everyone to be where they want to be.

At the end of the day I was happy with how my spring training finished and where I am now. We’re a few weeks into the season and everyone is trying to establish their spots and trying to win playing time.

The beginning of the season is always fun and interesting because you are usually getting used to the new cities you’re playing in and your new living accommodations…. which is basically 4 guys jammed into a 2-bedroom apartment.

The minors isn’t easy and isn’t glamorous but it sure is fun. As long as you have a jersey on your back you have a shot. So, to everyone trying to make it happen keep grinding!
