I recently had the opportunity to spend a week in the Dominican Republic with the Elon University baseball team and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Coach Kennedy.

Coach Mike Kennedy has been the head coach at Elon in North Carolina for 18 seasons, 17 of which have ended with winning records.

He’s recruited numerous ballplayers who have gone on to get drafted by MLB teams and was the assistant coach for the Team USA Baseball’s National Team.

Coach Kennedy was kind enough to sit down with me and talk though his advice to high school baseball players who want to gain the attention of college coaches.

In this week’s video clip, we talk through the importance of making your email to a college coach PERSONAL, what to include in your skills video, and why he ignores most of the emails sent to him from recruiting services on behalf of HS ballplayers.
